3)Saturday, November 6, 2004 Weather : Cloudy then sunny
To resume running!!(PART II)
- On last Sunday, I tried to run 20 km.
- Before running, I thought I would complete without problem, however,
contrary to my expectation, I felt further muscular pain on my foot after I passed 10 km point
since I already had felt a little muscular pain owing to 10 km run on Saturday.
Moreover, I was a little bit breathless around 15 km point.
Anyway, I managed to run 20 km after a long interval.
However, the 5-month blank thoroughly effected upon my body.
- In addition, the muscular pain remained for two more days.
- Today, I intended to run 20 km from the beginning. I ran alongside Karabori/Yanase Rivers.
- The muscular pain was gone, however, again, I felt it after I passed 10 km point.
- It will take more time to recover to the original condition.
- Under the circumstances, I am forced to postpone the participation of
marathon races until January 2005.
2)Saturday, October 30, 2004 Weather : Cloudy then rainy
To resume running!!
- My right leg still remains numbed. Thus I went to the hospital located in Ohi-machi, Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo to see the doctor of sport orthopedist
on October 25. He was the fourth doctor for me.
- I was told that the cause of numb was the stress made by radical/intensive runnings during very short period in May.
- The only way to recover the condition is to wait patiently taking vitamins E and B12.
- Contrary to my expectation, the doctor told me that I could start to run less than 50 km.
- Thus I decided to run on Saturday.
- I left home around 8:00 AM with jogging wear. However, it was cloudy and chilly.
It seemed to rain shortly.
- At the initial stage, I felt that my body was very heavy since I ran after an interval of 5 months and could not speed up.
- I soon accustomed myself to running and felt that I was able to run more than 20 km.
However, the rain started when passing around 4 km point.
- Finally, I decided to stop ruuning at 10 km owing to rain.
- I could enjoy running after a long interval.
- I will lengthen the running distance little by little and would like to join the race
as soon as possible.
PjSaturday October 16, 2004 Weather : Cloudy
5 months have passed since I stopped running.
- I had been in Germany from late in September to early in October owing to business trip without holiday. I was exhausted.
- Well, almost 5 months have passed since I stopped running in middle May.
- It may take more time to restore the condition of my right leg.
- In order to prevent the decline of my physical strength, lately, I walk every weekend
as much as possible. However, the volume of exercise has drastically decreased. The situation that I cannot run is
so frustrating for me.
- Today, I walked alongside Kurome/Ochiai Rivers from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
It was cloudy and chilly in the early morning. My body did not warm up only by walking.
- I went to Hikasi-kurume Station in the evening to attend the meeting with my running mates.
- I did not meet my running mates since I injured my right leg. We chattered and drank at
Japanese pub very much. Then we went to Karaoke bar and enjoyed singing.
