Record & Impression

• The weatherman said it would be cloudy and temporarily rainy on Sunday and thus I was worrying.
• Anyway, on Sunday morning, I got up at 4:30 AM and left home at 5:30 AM. It was fine and the stars were still shining in the sky! It was cold early in November.
• I changed the train 3 times and arrived in Narita at 8:30 AM. Narita is really far-away from my home.
• Half marathon race started at 10:00 AM as usual. Contrary to the forecast, it was fair and very warm. The temperature was 18 degrees Centigrade!
• I prepared two kinds of long-sleeve T-shirts for coldness. However, they were useless.
• At the initial stage, I competed with a young buxom lady with pink short pant. Her running pace slowed down at the upward slope and thus I could pass her. However, she dashed at the downward slope and passed me!
• Anyway, I finally passed her.
• The split time at the first half were as follows: 7 km --- 35 minutes; 10 km --- 49 minutes
• When passing 10 km point, I could have seen cosmos flowers field so far. However, to my regret, I could not find it this year!
• I felt a little bit fatigue after 10 km point, however, I tried to run as fast as possible to catch up with the former runners.
• I managed to run up the last upward slope with normal pace where I usually had slowed down. This must be the result of October Running Period.
• It was hard to run last 3 km as usual.
• The split time of 20 km point was 1 hour 40 minutes.
• I thought I would be able to complete the race within 1 hour 45 minutres 59 seconds. and tried to dash to the goal.
• The last one lap of the studium was hardest.
• The goal time was 1 hour 46 minutes 05 seconds, which is my best record of half marathon race!
• This time, it was a little bit hard to run owing to unseasonable high temperature, which was to be more than 20 degrees Centigrade during the race.
• After the race, a sport drink had been given for service. However, this year, only a cup of water was given! Poor service!
• Then, I had a drink party with my running mates at the eel restaurant near the JR Narita station.
• We joined the party of the members of "The God of Wealth" who participated 3-km race and had been holding a party before we arrived there.
• I make it a rule to meet them every year there.
• The party was climaxed after we joined!
• I could narrowly reach my home at 6:30 PM.
