This is the first race of the coming marathon season.
It took almost 30 min. on foot from JR Inage Kaigan Station to the starting point. (A little bit too far !)
It was cloudy and cool in the morning. However, the sun appeared at the time of start and thus it was getting hot.
The course is to go around the Seashore Park. (One round is 4 km.) The 16 km races made 4 rounds.
The 16 km races started at 9:10. Approx. 1800 runners made lines from the start point. The road was heavily crowded.
I was situated almost at the end of the lines and I could scarecely heard the start signal.
The road was not so wide that the crowded condition continued for a while.
When I just came to the second round, the top runners already went ahead of. How fast they were!
The temperature rose gradually and I started to sweat very much.
I could run without problem until 3 rounds. However, it was hard during the final half round owing to hot condition.
The time was 1 hour 24 min. with which I was satisfied.
After the finish, I and my friends drank a toast with canned beers. How delicious it was!
It was boring for me to run around the same course several times.
